The Sniper has been painstakingly designed to provide a lightweight bat with a consistent profile, the ability to provide the low weights required by the market yet not losing the dominating size that conveys the power of the bat is the hardest task for any bat maker. The essence of the model name is to demonstrate the ability of the profile to pick and choose shots yet dispatch the ball at will to the boundary with clinical efficiency. The bat is fitted as standard with the finest semi oval handle to allow good hand placement without an overpowering feel. The profile gives a strong spine height which swells towards the toe and provides the stiffness required to extend the sweet spot right into the toe. The edges have a good size to them which not only complements the spine profile by increasing the horizontal size of the sweet spot but also improves the performance of any off centre shots where the distance of said shot is vital such as the hook or pull.
By moving the mass of the bat lower it gives the opportunity to hit the ball further without having to increase the dead weight of the bat, this low dead weight gives the batsman increased bat speed and will suit those who play the ball late and require the chance to adjust their shot selection without increasing the risk of mistiming. The large profile gives the impression of having more wood in the bat and this is backed up by the feel of the bat in hand when striking the ball.
